The project EU Meets Europe is based on the idea that the discussion of pivotal issues of European integration – understood as Europe growing together politically, economically, socially and culturally – must involve the continent as a whole. It should not end at national or EU external borders, nor should it be conducted exclusively within narrowly defined expert circles.

The EU Meets Europe kick-off workshop brings together a transdisciplinary group of young professionals from academia, politics, civil society, the arts and culture from across Europe, inviting them to explore future-oriented European issues with their own means of expression. United by a shared overarching topic, the participants create a wide range of works – from scholarly, journalistic, and literary texts through images and illustrations to multimedia pieces, music, and other artistic performances – thereby developing diverse ways of engaging with Europe that appeal to new and particularly young audiences.
