“Fight Every Crisis”? — The Climate Movement in Crisis Mode

n this interview, sociologists Yann Le Lann and Sabrina Zajak analyse the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic on the climate movements in France and Germany from a comparative perspective. They argue that new challenges have led to renewed forms of protest and increased cooperation with other social movements around discourses of social justice. Overall, climate movements view the Green Deal of the European Commission critically.
