Bridging Divides Over the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism

As part of the ambitious Green Deal policy agenda, there is currently a lively debate on the introduction and design of a carbon border adjustment mechanism. In the sixth contribution of our “Green Deal reloaded” series, Camilla Bausch, Scientific and Executive Director of Ecologic Institute, analyses the opportunities and challenges of this instrument, which aims to avoid competitive disadvantages for European firms due to climate protection requirements and to strengthen European climate policy.
