The use of digital technologies has also prompted major changes in artistic Digitisation is now part of our everyday lives. It is no longer just to do with technology but also with our culture and cultural practices, including artistic music practice, which is a field that has become increasingly dependent on technical developments. Impulses and resources from current artistic and entrepreneurial digital music practice were discussed on 17 and 18 November 2020 in the online conference "Music, Media, Arts Education" with researchers from the BMBF-funding stream: "Digitisation in Arts and Cultural Education", as well as numerous other actors from music education, research and practice throughout Europe.

We successfully opened up a discursive space for interdisciplinary and international exchanges in this field, focusing especially on Poland, France and Germany. Topics discussed included the emancipatory potential of arts and cultural education, the aesthetic value of art and music production in the digital age, empowerment through technology, the question of how musicians and representatives of creative music technologies have adapted their practice, as well as looking in more detail at real-life applications and research using new technologies in music and cultural education.
